Although guests heap praise on the resort's pools and restaurants, some lament the property's small, rocky beach. Both kids and adults will enjoy the resort's infinity pool that stretches along the length of the property, as well as the Jacuzzis available in every suite. The resort welcomes children, and the property's Eko Kids Club offers supervised games and enrichment activities for guests ages 4 to 12. ![]() Generations Riviera Maya boasts five dining spots that serve Mexican, Caribbean, Indian, Asian and international cuisine, as well as several bars – one of which is a swim-up bar. Guests are complimentary of the spacious accommodations and also praise the customer service and variety of food found at the on-site restaurants. It isn’t a cheap family vacation but it sure is a luxurious one! 10 Tips for Parents at Generations Riviera Mayaġ) If you aren’t afraid that the water outside your room will be a problem with your little ones, book a swim-up room. We had a chance to eat at two of their restaurants and visit their spa and they were all top notch. ![]() The pools were sparkling clean, the grounds were immaculate and it was quiet since it was adults only. Since we didn’t stay at the El Dorado, I don’t have a full review of that resort yet but I can tell you it looked amazing. Check the kids into the Generations kid center and hop on over to a show or dinner at El Dorado. Adult Generations guests, that is! This is where Ekokids comes in handy. ![]() A bonus is that all amenities at the El Dorado resorts such as the spa, pools, fitness centers, restaurants and bars are all open for Generations guests. Yes, it is basically attached to the Generations property and a 5-minute walk gets you there. These are adults-only properties that you can walk down a path to get to. Next door to the Generations Riviera Maya are two beautiful El Dorado resorts – El Dorado Royale and El Dorado Casitas Royale. Since we had the most beautiful weather during our visit, I found a better option was to run along the beach to fit in my daily exercise. ![]() If you are the exercise-doesn’t-take-a-break-on-vacation type of person, you’ll be happy to know that there is a small fitness center at Generations that has treadmills, ellipticals and a few other gym necessities.
